Dracula incontra vlad l' impalatore

Discover the castles of Prahova county

Goal of this one-day tour are the attractions of the Prahova valley. First stop is at the best-known mountain station of Romania: Sinaia the so called "Pearl of the Carpathians" because of the lush nature that surrounds it and for the existence, in the mountains of the castle of the Kings of Romania, Peles Castle that enchants so much the visitors with its fairy-tale scenery as Charles I desired. Near the castle we can find the building of Pelisor, home of the rulers for daily life, known for the decoration of the rooms designed by Queen Mary, as well as for the design of furniture. The second stage of the tour is a visit to the infamous Dracula's Castle or the castle of Bran, made famous by the novel by Bram Stroke. The view of the Castle is exactly like that from a movie: laid on a spur of rock and accessible only by a narrow road that climbs up to the entrance... Traditional lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the valley and the Castle (on request). The final stage will be represented by the ancient city Brasov (Kronstadt in German) with its famous Central Square (square), the Black Church, the White Tower, the Schei district, with its narrow streets, its surroundings and its vitality. Optional dinner, suggested by the Guide, at a specific, traditional restaurant from Brasov. Return towards the capital.

Bucharest ... a city in constant evolution... old and new architecture merge and blend in a picture of lights, roads, shops, bars, clubs and restaurants that are no less than the ones from the most famous European capitals. Bucharest has its past and its present through a cultural offer as interesting as the Village Museum, considered one of the most beautiful in Europe, the People's Palace, the first building in Europe and the second largest in the world, the Palace of Cotroceni, the Roman Athenaeum, the many buildings of the late XIX-early twentieth century and more. The tour also offers a day trip to visit the Peles Castle (the wonderful natural choreography in which immersed!) near the mountain resort of Sinaia known as the "Pearl of the Carpathians", Dracula's castle in Bran (a "must" for those wishing to visit Romania) and the old Saxon city of Brasov, rich in history and culture of great charm.

Dracula incontra vlad l' impalatore

The tour takes you in the main cities of Transylvania through the most popular castles: Peles Castle in Sinaia and Bran with the castle of Dracula. The journey presents landscapes of the green valleys and mountains that you will constantly see during this beautiful holiday in Transylvania. Great importance is also represented by a visit of the city of Brasov (the ancient city of the Krown – Kronstadt Saxon) , which shows to the visitors the architectural and cultural wealth inherited from the period of Hungarian rule and by Saxon peoples. Of great interest are visits to the fortified churches, present in several villages as that of the Saxons lost village Viscrì, the fortified church from Biertan and others that you will encounter along the way. Not by chance UNESCO has classified the fortified churches of Transylvania as a world heritage site, making them the subject of an increasing attention from the part of tourists coming from all over the world. The other two cities we will visit on this tour are Sighisoara and Sibiu. Sighisoara possesses one of the best preserved old towns in Europe (also UNESCO heritage) and is known as the birthplace of Vlad (Dracula) and Sibiu is the most historically important cities of Transylvania as having been elected European cultural capital in 2007. Nothing will be missed in this tour: landscapes, castles, palaces, medieval settings, the character Dracula, good traditional cuisine and the discovery of a new route
